I’d describe these as beginner-to-intermediate classes. If you’re terrified of your sewing machine and have never sewn in your life, I’d recommend taking an Intro to Machine Sewing class with Rain at the Rainbow Nook first! If you’re confident that you can sew a straight line on a machine, then I’d say you’re ready for one of my classes!

Thread, fabric, and other supplies are available for purchase on-site! You can also order materials online, Etsy, Big Z Fabric, and Mood are some of my favorites. Locally, you can find great fabrics at thrift shops, and Sewfisticated in Dorchester!

These classes are not one and done! I plan to cycle through classes to give everyone a chance to make what they want to make. You’re welcome to book a private lesson with me with a specific project in mind, or let me know that there was one class you REALLY wanted to do so I know to run it again sooner rather than later!

For group classes, make sure they have purchased a time slot, or purchase one for them. For private lessons, sure! Let me know in advance if you’re planning to work together on a project, or if they’re just listening in.

Sure! You’re welcome to bring drinks and food, there’s also tons of great places to eat in the neighborhood!
