In this class, we will be learning the basics of costume repair! Do you have a piece that is looking a bit worse for wear, but don’t know how to fix it yourself? From split seams, to busted zippers, to atrocious makeup and sweat stains, we as performers can ask for a lot from our costumes. In this class, Shean will be teaching you how to breathe new life into your favorite pieces, and extend the longevity of your wardrobe. Bring a costume you’re looking to fix, or just bring your curiosity! Feel free to bring your own sewing machine, but sewing machines will also be available for you. BRING YOUR OWN MATERIALS!
Lessons are held Tuesday, 5/26, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at The Rainbow Nook in Jamaica Plain. Classes are sliding scale to make them accessible to all, please pay what you can!
